EAG attended the Schüco Excellence Awards 2023

We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Health, Culture and Leisure Award and to have attended the Schüco Excellence Awards 2023 on Thursday 29 June in London.

The shortlisted project, 33 Grosvenor Place in London has been transformed into healthcare provider Cleveland Clinic’s first European hospital. It was originally built in the 1950s as the headquarters of an energy company and was further renovated in the 1990s.

EAG was contracted by Main Contractor Sir Robert McAlpine to design, manufacture and install new windows to transform the building into a 21st Century medical facility. Sustainability was a key design consideration throughout the scheme. The team sensitively worked with the existing façade, retaining it on three sides and rebuilding the remaining fourth façade in order to maximise the available floor area internally.

It was a fantastic achievement to have been shortlisted for this project and for the team’s hard work to be recognised. Daren Clifton, Construction Director, Simon Carr, Technical Director, and Nick Tappin, Finance Director at EAG attended the brilliant event. Thank you to Schüco for organising the boat tour from Tower Pier to Greenwich, putting on a great lunch within the historic sailing ship and royal museum, Cutty Sark, and delivering the excellent presentation, hosted by Charlie Luxton. Congratulations to all the winners and nominees.
