Curtain Walling |
English Architectural Glazing provided the complete external envelope for
this new office building at Sydenham Road, Croydon.
The curtain walling systems were selected from Schuco International’s
FW60+ range of profiles. Significant features include:-
- Offset fin capping accentuated the horizontal elements, whilst alternate
vertical mullions were silicone sealed to minimise their presence.
- Within the spandrel areas of the façade, an independent angle
steel frame was installed and clad with one hour fire resistant board,
given the proximity of the adjoining site boundaries.
- A structurally glazed tower on the front elevation complemented the
glass finned entrance screen with revolving door.
- Aluminium rainscreen cladding from EAG’s own product range was
installed to escape stairs and cores, in addition to bespoke metal cappings,
copings and solar shading brise soleil which were manufactured and installed
at high level.
