English Architectural Glazing Ltd (EAG) has secured a £1.9 million contract to provide curtain walling and cladding to one of the most exciting buildings in the City of London.
Acting as sub-contractor for the design manufacture and installation, EAG is providing curtain wall screens in pre-cast openings, ribbon curtain walls with metal cladding at high level and unitised curtain walling to the light wells at 36-41 Gracechurch Street, London EC3 as part of a huge redevelopment into ground floor retail space and office accommodation.
Edward Whipp, pre-construction Director of EAG, said: “This is a great project to be involved with and sees EAG once again providing our expertise in the heart of London. We have worked on a number of key projects in the capital including Great Ormond Street Hospital, Westminster Academy, LSE and the Round House. This is an exciting scheme and will provide excellent shop and office space to this vibrant part of London.”
EAG are working in partnership with contractors Costain Ltd and Gibberd Architects. The work will start in April 2009 and is expected to finish in October of the same year.
