One of East Anglia’s leading architectural glazing firms, English Architectural Glazing (EAG), has played an instrumental role in the construction of the new £3.2m events hall at Trinity Park in Ipswich, formerly known as the Suffolk Showground.
Mildenhall based EAG was contracted by Hutton Construction to design and install sliding glass doors and glazed curtain walling at the showground’s new Trinity Park Conference and Events Centre, which will be officially opened on the 31st May - the first day of this year’s Suffolk Show.
Commenting on the £112,500 contract, EAG Project Manager Tim Best said: “We’ve installed Schuco glazing throughout. In the main entrance we’ve installed an FW50+ curtain wall with 2.8m high RS120+ sliding doors. We have also fitted RS65 outward opening doors and RS65 vents with mechanical remote Teleflex opening gear. The glazing work dominates the façade of the building at ground level so it looks really striking.”
Pre-construction Director at EAG, Edward Whipp, said: “Trinity Park is an important local venue, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. It’s great to have been involved in the construction of a building that will serve the Suffolk community and its visitors for many years to come.”
