An
East Anglian glazing firm has put the finishing touches to a £1.2m
project for the Open University.
English Architectural Glazing, of Mildenhall, has supplied and installed all the curtain walling, roof glazing and internal glazing for the OU library in Milton Keynes. The firm worked closely with main contractor Galliford Try and architects Swanke Hayden Connell.
Managing director Simon Gladwin, said: "The OU is a national institution in the UK and we at EAG were very proud to be part of this exciting new building. We were involved from the outset, value-engineering the scheme to ensure the project was delivered within the client's budget with no compromise on build quality. We and the team are delighted with the results and hope students of all ages will enjoy this new facility for generations to come."
EAG has recently won a £1.6m contract to carry out an 'acoustic facelift' for The Roundhouse music venue at Camden.
The company is based in Chiswick Avenue, Mildenhall and employs more than 100 people split between its HQ and sites around the UK.
